Congratulations to Mo’Nique, who took home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress! In her royal blue gown and with a gardenia flower, Mo’Nique paid tribute to Hattie McDaniel, who was the first African American to win an Oscar for her role in Gone With the Wind, for the same award in 1940.
