In Case You Missed it: Letterman Confession
Dave Letterman, in his own comical way, confessed to affairs (yes, plural) with staff members after an extortion attempt for $2 million.
The audience was clearly confused!
I happen to think that extortion is the dumbest crime! Rarely do you not get caught and get the money…
According to MSNBC, a CBS News employee has been indicted in an extortion plot against David Letterman, who acknowledged sexual relationships with female staffers on his show after the man tried to blackmail him for $2 million, the Manhattan district attorney said Friday.
Robert J. “Joe” Halderman, a producer for the true-crime show “48 Hours,” was arrested Thursday and indicted on one count of attempted first-degree grand larceny, punishable by five to 15 years upon conviction, District Attorney Robert Morgenthau said.
Word is that he was living with one of Letterman’s former boos, and was having child support issues.
His problem just got a hell of a lot bigger!
