It’s not their insecurity…
Granted there are a lot of women out there that have insecurities that manifest into “hate” but honey boo, that was not why anyone took issue with Tameka Foster Raymond.
On black women and their response to her marriage
“I understand where all the negativity comes from. Unfortunately I think that some black women are – subconsciously – not in love with the image they see in the mirror. Therefore in turn they do not love someone like me. I look too much like them. They would definitely have preferred my husband marry someone more exotic looking. Instead of saying “wow, she looks like me. She’s living a fairytale” – they criticize.
Sometimes you have to believe certain things to get you through the day… Nothing about that situation was or is a fairytale.
P.S. Their divorce had to have been the fastest in history or proof-positive that Usher was out the door long before the news hit the press. Not to mention the settlement couldn’t have been significant. I guess he listened to his mother at some point and got a great pre-nup!
