Update: Chris Brown Not Confirmed Yet!

UPDATE: Chris Brown, although announced, is not confirmed for event, rep says. I wonder if his travel limitations to due to his probation will be a major hurdle.
It looks like Chris Brown will get his chance to honor Michael Jackson with a tribute, along with many others tapped for the major show planned in Vienna by Jermaine Jackson.
Mary J. Blige and Akon are also a few of the performers first to be announced for the event, as well as Angela Bassett, who portrayed Katherine Jackson in the made-for-TV movie The Jackson: An American Dream, will be a part of the 20-25 acts scheduled.
According to MTV News, Jermaine will sing a virtual duet with his late brother that he promises will be a “magic moment for all who loved his music.” Among the songs that will performed by various artists at the event are “Man in the Mirror,” “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” “Thriller,” “Black or White,” “Earth Song,” “Smooth Criminal,” “Bad,” “Dirty Diana,” “Will You Be There,” “You Are Not Alone,” “Remember the Time,” “Heal the World,” “The Girl Is Mine” and “Scream.”
The palace’s grounds can accommodate more than 65,000 fans, who will watch the proceedings along with Jackson’s family and children. The 165-foot-wide stage will feature massive LED walls that can slide together and apart and a runway that allows performers to walk through the audience.
I am glad for Chris Brown, I think he deserves the chance to perform for his idol despite is legal issues. I have a feeling he will go above and beyond, being a great performer and dancer.
