I knew there was a better reason behind Usher not following Tameka on Twitter, than not wanting people to see their conversation! Usher and Tameka’s divorce has been in the waiting for his album about a year now! According to the official petition for divorce, the pair have been separated since about July 2008, when Tameka was 6 months pregnant.
While the divorce filing is the stardard form, the divorce is being contested by Tameka and defined as “irretrievably broken” with “no reasonable hope of reconciliation.”
Usher is requesting joint legal and physical custody of the children.

I, for one, have never been a fan of Tameka. She definitely rubbed me the wrong way. After Usher fired his mama and then she didn’t show up for the wedding. That was a clear sign the whole situation was convoluted!!
Usher wasn’t even slick about it. They were rarely seen together in public, while he was spotted in L.A. solo dolo or with “mystery” women. After all that hoopin’ and hollerin’ he did defending his love for her, this is just so anticlimactic! What’s sad is that there are 2 children between them involved, plus her 3 previous children he was playing daddy to.
If he thinks this will help his career, I think he is sadly mistaken. I really believe his personal affairs hurt his image, in turn killing his release. These things can make or break you.
Girl you called it! But I do think that he can come back, if Kanye can calm down, and Chris Brown can get back in the studio, Usher can get his sexy back. It will take time an a lot of PR but the industry has seen worse…
Good for him! I wasn’t a fan of Tameka’s either. Although you have to put fault on Usher too. He lost alot of fans when he fired his mom. He dated Chilli for how many years without being trapped with a baby. I hope he gets full custody, you no those kids were her meal ticket. From the begining I thought Usher could have done better. We shall see how much she loves him. I think with this divorce Tameka will have alot to say. Just wait until she calls Wendy Williams to dish out the dirt! Only time will tell.
