Chris Brown pleaded not guilty in a Los Angeles courtroom today to two felony counts – assault and making criminal threats. Legal experts contend that the case will likely end with Brown accepting a plea deal on lesser charges with anywhere from a 30- to 180-day jail sentence and three to five years probation. As for Rihanna, her attorney Donald Etra tells PEOPLE, “Nothing’s changed with regard to Rihanna’s stance toward this case … She will testify if subpoenaed and will do everything that’s required of her to do.” Currently the singer, is “doing fine,” says Etra. “She’s in Barbados now with her family.”
Rihanna, who arrived in Barbados last Friday, was spotted partying it up that night at a reggae show at the National Stadium. She spent most of the night on the side stage watching the headliner Sizzla Kalonji. Rihanna later left the stage to mix with people in the VIP section, including the Prime Minister David Thompson and her younger brother. Rihanna can home to attend her grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary celebrations that took place the next night night.
