Rihanna Story Exaggerated? Misdemeanor for Chris?

I’ve long stood on the fact that there are so many unanswered questions and speculation that passing judgement on either Chris Brown and Rihanna would be premature. One thing I know is that the affidavit, which is written by the lawyers, is meant to be extremely persuasive. So when you read the documents submitted last week for Chris Brown arraignment (which has been postponed to April 6th), it reads almost like a Hollywood script.
So have we haven’t heard Chris Brown response to these allegations, and despite reports that this has been escalating issue in their relationship in the past, new snitches say that it’s far less violent that it was put out to be.
However, a source involved in the investigation tells Hollyscoop exclusively that in the reports, Rihanna confessed there has only been two other incidences in which she felt threatened, but this was the first time Chris retaliated. Rihanna told investigators that the first incident occurred in Europe three months ago. It was a verbal dispute, which led to Rihanna slapping Chris Brown. In self-defense, Chris put her up “against the wall” and told her to calm down.
The second incident occurred when the couple was visiting Rihanna’s family in her native Barbados back in August 2008. She described the incident as a verbal dispute, and added that no one was assaulted.
If this is true, which I find quite plausible, Chris Brown’s legal team have a chance at reducing the charges to a misdemeanor with no jail time.
We’re told Brown’s people have consulted with outside legal eagles — including law school professors — who have said Rihanna’s own aggressiveness takes it out of the felony category. Sources say Rihanna was the first one to strike — slapping and striking Brown “numerous times” while he was driving, after seeing the text message from another woman. And Rihanna was fighting Brown as he punched and hurt her. We’re told much of this is reflected in the official police report based on what Rihanna told cops. As a result, they say, this is not a case that demands a felony plea.
Other details about the now infamous incident are starting to trickle out… I knew the person who called the person that called the police would eventually have to give up something on what happened. It was reportedly a Rabbi who lived in the neighborhood who heard the commotion. He came outside when he heard shouting. “She was screaming out of control and he was extremely calm,” read his statement, adding that Rihanna “was not screaming for help, she was just screaming.”
There is no reason to ever hit a woman, but there is also no reason to ever hit a man unless you ready to go real deal Holyfield. Both parties will have to take responsibility for their actions and Chris will definitely have to learn the power of walking away. Sadly it looks like he didn’t take his own advice.
Check out an interview on Power 105 with DJ Clue from about 2 months ago where the two talk about his relationship with Rihanna (skip to min. 5:00). Just watch what they talk about… Crazy!

i have tried my best to reserve judgement and commentary on this whole situation cuz there are so many rumors and “inside sources”. bottom line is he shouldn’t have hit her. growing up seeing domestic violence, i have a double zero tolerance policy for it but…*searching for a way to say he could have possibly been driven to his wits end without sounding like a jerk*
i really don’t care what the story is anymore. maybe she hit him first, so what the point is he took it upon himself and hit her all in her grill. all he had to do is stop the car and push her ass out, that’s it. i do not care who started first i just know his dumb ass shouldn’t have finished it. then they are in the studio recording a song together! I’m through
