Jennifer Hudson to Oprah: “I’m in a very good place.”

Jennifer Hudson has had one hellova welcome back to the industry… From stunning fans at the SuperBowl to winning her first Grammy, she is back as one of the music scenes “it” girls.

While she refrained from speaking specifically on the tragic loss of her mother, brother, and nephew on Oprah’s live show, she did say how she is feeling right now…

I’m good,” she said. “I’m really good. I’m just glad to be back and be back to working and just doing what I love to do…I’m in a very good place.”

Her renewed mood was owed in part, she said, to her resurgence on the national stage, saying that performing for her is “like therapy,” despite any nerves that may go along with performing on, say, the biggest television event of the year.

Winning a Grammy was great, but that wasn’t the only highlight of the night for her. Whitney Houston was on hand to present her with the honor, something she said “almost surpassed winning” the award itself.

“As soon as she stepped out on the stage, I lost it. That’s when I got emotional.” [SOURCE]

Jennifer also performed her latest single “If This Isn’t Love.”
