I keed… I keed… Says Etta!
Etta James is your regular ol’ MoNique these days… She says her recent rant about Beyonce singing her famed “At Last” for the inaugural ball was all just a jokey joke.
“I’m a comedian besides a singer,” James said in a telephone interview from her home on Thursday morning. “I wasn’t doing it to be hateful.”
James said her comments were meant to be taken as, “She’s up here singing my song, now what am I gonna do?”
The singer has never shied away from speaking her mind on stage.
“I think I’m funny and she’s not the only one I’ll say something about,” she said. [SOURCE]
The Knowles Camp had no comment. I find it all hilarious! It was actual comedy to me… I say Etta James gets a special on Comedy Central, eh?
