It’s Official… Kelly Rowland Drops Papa Knowles
In the best move that she’s ever made, Kelly Rowland has officially told Mathew Knowles to kick rocks as her manager. No surprise there, since he didn’t do anything to help the girl’s solo career.
As reported back in December of last year, Kelly was ready to step from behind big and lil’ sister Knowles since they were the only ones getting promotion from Knowles machine.
In a “joint” politically correct statement the pair announced the parting of ways.
“Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career,” Rowland said in the statement. “I have had great success under his guidance — both as a member of Destiny’s Child and with my solo projects. Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family.”
Funny how you haven’t really seen Kelly around Beyonce since her wedding… I hear their relationship is not on the best of terms either! However the two want you to believe it’s all love.
“After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship,” he says in the statement. “My company, Music World, will continue to manage Destiny’s Child as a group. As an artist Kelly has incredible talent and I only wish her the best. We will always be family first and foremost, and as a dad I only have love for Kelly.”
You don’t see Beyonce or Solange dropping their daddy so I don’t buy it… Good job Kelly. Move on.
