At Last… Beyonce is set to sing at the Inauguration!
After publically announcing her desire to perform, Beyonce gets to sing for our newly elected President! She has been tapped to perform for the first dance of Barack and Michelle Obama.
“I am so honored that I will be performing for President Obama and the First Lady,” she says in a statement to Entertainment Tonight.
“To sing ‘At Last’ while they have their first dance is a dream come true,” she says. “I could not be more honored and excited that they have asked me to be part of this moment in history.”
“At Last” is great choice. Great timing I guess, though it’s traditionally a wedding song, I think it will be just as fitting for this event. I don’t think I could experience that and not get emotional.
