Via Freep.com: Christine Beatty, the former chief of staff for ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, fights back tears after reading a plea agreement Monday at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice. Beatty’s deal, worked out over the past week, calls for her to serve a 120-day jail term, 5 years of probation and pay $100,000 restitution to the city.
