Police: Jelousy, Gift triggered Hudson Murders

According to police in the Hudson murder case, jealousy of what William Balfour believed to be a gift from another man may be what triggered him to go on the killing spree. The night before the murders, Julia celebrated with a small party at home and the next morning is when the trouble began.
Police say, Julia’s estranged husband William Balfour – booted last February from the house on Chicago’s South Side where they lived with Julia’s mother and 7-year-old son – showed up and spotted a gift he believed came from another man.
That jealousy is the motive that led Balfour, 27, to return to the house after Julia had left for work and shoot her mother Darnell Donerson, 57, Jennifer’s brother Jason, 29, then take Julia’s son, 7-year-old Julian King, and later kill him as well, prosecutors allege. [SOURCE]
Additionally, physical evidence has been revealed through gun powder residue found in Balfour’s car. There was a growing “tension” between Julia and her estranged husband, as he once confronted her at work threatening her family. Police go on to detail their case against Balfour, which include dependencies about his movements that morning.
Balfour claimed to have taken the train home after both him and Julia left at 8:10 am, yet cell phone records place him in the area until 9 am, the same time both the mother and brother were murdered. At this time, it doesn’t appear anyone else was involved.

Everytime I read about these senseless murders, I get ill. I hope William Balfour gets the death penalty for killing this family and I also hope Julia gets some help too because she ain’t been acting right.
